Aurangabad: The two-day Umgeswari Mahotsav, organized by the district administration in association with the state tourism department, was inaugurated jointly by Rafigunj JD(U) MLA Ashok Kumar Singh and Aurangabad DM Kawal Tanuj at Umanga temple under Madanpur block on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the JD(U) MLA said Umanga was blessed by nature. “We have sent a detailed project report of Rs 80 crore to the state government to install a ropeway between Sita Thapa and Umanga temple,” said Singh, adding the plan would become a reality soon. Aurangabad DM promised full-fledged development of the area. “It is a moment of pride that the tourism department has decided to observe Umgeswari Mahotsav as a government event,” he said and added people must preserve the rich heritage of Aurangabad district.
